Why Kushala Health exists

Chronic disease is not an event. It is a relationship that lasts decades, and the Indian health system is built almost entirely around events: the consultation, the test, the prescription, the discharge. Between those events, where the actual disease lives, there is nobody.

Dr. Sowmya founded Kushala Health to practise the other way round. Every patient gets a physician who holds their case over time and a care coach who calls every week. Progress is measured in HbA1c, blood pressure, weight and medicine count, not in app engagement. Treatment plans are built for Indian kitchens and Indian households, because a plan that asks a family to abandon how it eats is a plan that will be abandoned first.
